Welcome to RBBC's Adult Bible Fellowship Information
Page
Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) is a ministry. It is a means for God’s people to
mentor, mature, and disciple one another, as they fellowship and study God’s word
together. ABF groups provide fellowship and relationships with others who will
care and pray for each other. Rocky Bayou Baptist has seen a mighty growth
movement from God. He has brought together a diverse mix of people from many
backgrounds and experiences. It’s all too easy to get lost in the “crowd” and
not develop relationships. ABF groups are a way to get to know others who have
experienced similar joys and challenges in life, and then work together through
study, application, prayer, accountability, and outreach to grow as Christians.
ABFs are foundational to the ministry of our church. Each ABF provides a time
of Bible study, a place for prayer support, discipleship and fellowship, and a means
for ministry and outreach for every adult in our church. It is part of how we
are equipping you to do the work of the ministry so that the church will be
built up (Eph.
The ABF Purpose and Mission:
“And He gave some….as pastors and teachers, for the
equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body
of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge
of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs
to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children…but
speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him……….”
Ephesians 4:11-16
