I grew up in Michigan on a dairy farm, had a wonderful childhood and always attended church with my Mom. During my Jr. year in high school, I decided to “join the navy and see the world” which I did as soon as I graduated and turned 18. I was trained as a Navy corpwave and served my three year tour at the Naval hospital in Newport, Rhode Island.
It was there in Newport that God graciously saved me and also where I met my husband George. Upon leaving the navy I returned to Michigan and attended Bible college
(
Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music) for a year before marriage. Over the next 30+ years of marriage, George left the navy , joined the
Air Force and we lived in many wonderful places . God gave us 4 wonderful children.
Our daughter Wendy has recently moved back to Niceville with her husband
Bart Swan and 3 children. Our daughter
Lori is married to Alan Moore who is on staff with Great Commission Ministries
in Gainesville, Fl. with their 2
daughters. Still at home are Kelly (soon
to receive her teaching degree from FSU and be married) and Peter who attends
Rocky Bayou Christian School.
We have loved RBBC since the first time we visited back in January of 1989. I have served as Preschool Director, Nursery Coordinator, Kindergarten SS teacher, church Hostess, landscaper, banner maker, Music Ministry assistant and presently as accompanist and the director of Women’s Ministry. I love RBBC and am blessed to be a part of God’s kingdom work here.
